Chicago Bound

Well, we just got back from the Windy City. I had the most wonderful trip. It was definitely a trip of firsts: my first airplane ride, my first visit to Chicago, and I even got my first tooth while there!! A trip to remember! It was great meeting my family! Everyone was so welcoming! Thanks Aunt Peggy, Uncle Vince, and Nicki for letting us stay! Here are just a few pictures recording my visit!

The flight there was empty so I got my own seat!

All ready to go!

Look at all the clouds!

Taking a quick 'cat nap' before we land!

Lickin' my chops~just smelling all the wonderful food around here!

Oh Grandma!

Aunt Amanda, it's always great to see you!

Definitely been 'Momma's girl' as of late!

Already hanging out with all the boys!

Aunt Lori and I having a blast!

Thanks Aunt Peggy and Uncle Vince for the great shirt!

Even though I loved every moment I spent in Chicago, I especially enjoyed spending time with my Great Grandma and Nana! That was truly special!

Poolside

The other day I got to go to the pool for the first time with Sawyer!! Mom was scared I wouldn't like the cold water, but I ended up surprising her! I loved it! At first I was very serious, but after I got a grip on my surroundings, it was all fun and games. I loved when Mom swam with me while she blew bubbles in the water, splashing the water with my hands, and kicking my feet at the same time (Mom swears I am going to be a butterflyer)!

Getting all lubed up!

Almost ready!

Sawyer, I love your gear!

I decided to go with the one-piece this year!

Mom putting yet more sunscreen on me!

Finally in the water!

Let's come back again soon!

A few weeks ago my Auntie Amanda came down from Chicago. It was the first time I had seen her since Christmas (believe it or not)! We had a wonderful time, and as always, the visit went by way too fast! Luckily, in a few weeks, my family and I are flying up there to visit all of 'Chicago'. I can't wait to meet everyone! Mom is preparing me by reading 'Good Night Chicago' everyday. I can't wait. Stay posted~my next post will be from the 'Windy City'!

Take me, I'm yours!

Summer 2009 Has Officially Begun!

What's new?! Well, I'm officially 'on the move'! I'm crawling here, there, and everywhere. Even though I'm not using my legs too much, I use the 'wounded soldier crawl' to get everywhere I want to go. My mom and dad purchased some big, colorful tiles to go in the living room so I can have a bunch of room to practice. They are pretty cool, but I thought the big box they came in was even better!

Here I come!

Watch out!

Baby in a box!

Peek-a-boo!

Such a happy little girl!

Then, last weekend we came into Atlanta for a visit. While there, we got to go to the Highlands festival. We had a great time. I really enjoyed the music, and Mom and Grandma liked looking at all the arts and crafts. It was also fun to see my Uncle Mike!

1/2 A Year and Counting!

I am a little over six months old now! How time flies! Recently, I just went to the doctor for my six month check up. I now weigh 19 pounds, 12 ounces and am 27 inches long. I'm still hanging in there and was in the 95th percentile in both weight and height again. Mommy and Daddy hope I have some 'Uncle Goober genes'! I am now sitting up all by myself and love it! I play, play, play all day. Even though I wish I could, I'm not crawling yet. When I'm on my tummy, I mainly just flail my arms and legs around at the same time. Sometimes I scooch but I go backwards! Oh well. I'm also eating like a little piglet. I love pretty much everything (from vegetable risotto with cheese to strawberry-banana granola). Yummy!

Ready, GO!

Eyes are still blue as can be!

I'm goin' to get you!

Learning new things is so fun~like trying my sippy cup!

Daddy's little Brave (no wonder people think I'm a little boy)!

Where's Drew?!

Recently, we just remodeled our kitchen. I really enjoyed playing in all the new cabinets before the counter top went down!!

Putting me out with the trash

Here I am!

Up to no good!

So much fun!
